Over the years, we've looked for meaningful ways to reduce our environmental footprint while continuing to deliver the elevated experience our guests expect. Today, we're excited to share the next step in that journey.
Introducing Our Partnership with TerraCycle SalonCycle
As our sustainability program has evolved, we've transitioned to TerraCycle's SalonCycle recycling program, allowing us to continue responsibly diverting salon waste from landfills through one of the industry's most trusted recycling organizations.
Through SalonCycle, we're able to recycle many of the materials traditional curbside recycling programs simply can't process, including:
- Used aluminum foils
- Empty color tubes
- Plastic bottles, pumps, and caps
- Hair clippings
- Aerosol cans
- Personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Excess color and lightener
- Break room waste and other salon materials
Rather than becoming landfill waste, these materials are collected, sorted, and processed through specialized recycling and recovery programs.
No More Eco Fee
One change many of our guests have already noticed is that Pileggi no longer charges an Eco Fee.
While some salons continue to pass recycling costs directly to guests, we've made the decision to absorb those expenses as part of our commitment to operating responsibly.
We believe caring for the environment should simply be part of providing exceptional service—not an added charge.
